What is Reiki?

Practiced around the world, Reiki is a ancient alternative healing technique that involves the exchange of energy between practitioner and client to restore mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual balance. The Reiki practitioner opens to the "Life Force" allowing healing energy to flow through his or her body and simply makes it available to the client. This healing energy will then flow through the client to the extent they choose to open themselves to receive it.

How do I use Crystal Journey Reiki-charged candles?

Just prior to leaving leaving the Crystal Journey manufacturing site, a certified Reiki Master charges the candles with a particular intent or healing energy. This energy is released when the candle is lit. The candle can be lit to simply enhance a particular energy or it may be used to help accomplish a specific purpose or goal. However, it cannot create anything on its own because only we control what we bring into our lives. These candles are simply a tool, albeit a powerful tool, to help us understand where we may be blocking ourselves from attaining what we desire.

To use the candle for a specific purpose, quiet your mind and focus on what you want to accomplish. Each candle comes with an affirmation to help you with this process, or you may want to write your own prayer of intention to make it more personal. For best results, when you are ready, light the candle and read intention prayer out loud. Sit quietly and see clearly in your mind what you wish to accomplish. You may want to ask your higher power to help you understand how you might be preventing this from coming into your life. Listen for your inner, or intuitive, voice to provide guidance. Now, let the candle burn for a couple of hours - for your safety, never leave a lit candle unattended - and then snuff out the flame (rather than blowing it out).

Burn the candle for a couple of hours each day over the next several days. (For your safety, never leave a lit candle unattended.) You may want to recite your intention prayer each time you light it to help densify your desire. When it has completely burned down to where it will no longer light, take whatever remains, along with your intention prayer, and bury it in the earth to release the energy.

These candles are charged with healing energy, therefore it is not unusual to experience a sudden flood of emotions or memories as you go through this process. Should this occur, pay attention to what you are experiencing as it will often provide you with insight into areas you need to work on or issues you need to resolve.

How do I select a crystal on the web?

The same principles apply as selecting a crystal in person - it is what you are drawn to. Here is what we recommend:

• Take a deep breath in and release it slowly allowing yourself to relax
  
• Close your eyes and hold in your mind what you would like the crystal to help you accomplish - this can be a thought or an image
• If the crystal is for someone else, hold the person in your mind and see or feel what you would like the crystal to help them with
• When you are ready, open your eyes and scan through the crystal images on our website looking for those you are drawn to. It may look brighter than the others or your eye may simply be drawn to it. You may be attracted to more than one.
